Topics to be presented:

·       An overview of IDES business solutions:  IDES provides an additional option for employers seeking skilled workers to fill job vacancies.  Information to be presented will include registration and use of Illinois Skills Match system, Veterans Programs, Hire-the-Future, use of offices for recruitment purposes, Fidelity Bonding, Work Opportunity Tax Credit and provision of labor market information.

 

·       Employer Protests – Information on employers’ right to contest claims and chargeability will be presented with emphasis on due dates of protests and what information should be included with written protests.  Appeal rights will also be presented.

 

·       Mock adjudication interviews:  A demonstration of the interviews and processes conducted by local office staff with claimants and employers during the initial fact finding investigation.  Interviews on voluntary leaving, misconduct and refusal of work will be conducted.
